Caravans Away is the only dedicated online RV dealership in Australia. We rely on third parties to design and manufacture your RV of choice. And, as a flow on effect, the RV manufacturer also relies on parts and accessory providers to manufacturer and supply products in order to bring your RV to completion.

Our industry is a constant growing market and represents the majority of new automotive production in Australia. Unfortunately, it is not unlike many other industries, such as car dealers, that are being impacted from time to time by supply chain interruptions. Current affairs of global events are a primary cause. When purchasing a product on order, there is always a risk associated around delivery timeframes.

Despite these challenges, our team work tirelessly to ensure your motorhome or caravan is delivered to you. From ongoing order follow ups on your behalf with our manufacturers, to prescheduled quality inspections, cleaning and registration processes. We are here to make your RV buying experience quick and seamless.

In the event your RV has been flagged for production extension, here is what you need to know and how we at Caravans Away handle delivery delays:

FAQS

WHY WAS MY RV DELIVERY DATE EXTENDED?

Your RV delivery date may have been extended by the OEM and advised to you by Caravans Away as a result of global supply chain strains.

Notice of delay can occur at any point during the order process from pre-production, in-build to final stages of factory completion.

Caravans Away will endeavour to notify you as the customer immediately of any revised delivery date notifications by the manufacturer.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY DELIVERY IS DELAYED?

We will notify you immediately as to the new revised delivery date. It is important to remember that this delivery date is an estimate only and may be subject to further revision. While we all hope this is not the case, Caravans Away will not know of this revision until notified by the Manufacturer.

Caravans Away shall use its best endeavours to acquire the vehicle by the estimated delivery date but shall not be liable to the Purchaser for any damage or loss whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from any such delay or failure of delivery.

DOES THIS MEAN ALL RVs HAVE BEEN EXTENDED?

Not necessarily, delays may occur across different models. Your order remains a priority within the manufacturers schedule as they work to complete your build.

This update has been shared with you as a purchaser of a Caravans Away vehicle. Information relevant to your RVs order status and displayed on this page may not be relevant to other customer orders.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY CONTRACT?

Following notification of the revised estimated delivery date, the Purchaser will be entitled to 3 business days to rescind their contract. Subject to the order being prior to factory order cutoff date the Purchaser is entitled to 10% deposit refund less any holding fee forfeited.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ORDER GETS PUSHED BACK AGAIN?

If Caravans Away has not delivered the Vehicle to the Purchaser within ninety (90) days of the estimated delivery date, the Purchaser may by notice in writing to the Dealer rescind the contract. If that occurs the Dealer shall be entitled to claim by way of pre-estimated liquidated damages, from the Purchaser an amount equal to 10% of the Total Amount Payable less any deposit forfeited.

WILL MY DELIVERY LOCATION CHANGE?

No, unless you wish to revise the delivery location in writing to Caravans Away. The Purchaser shall accept delivery of the Vehicle at the address as supplied by the Purchaser and set out on the front of this Agreement and
all risk in the Vehicle shall pass to the Purchaser upon delivery.

WILL IT AFFECT MY DELIVERY CHARGE?

No, the only increase to your delivery charge would arise in a 20% increase to average fuel prices from time of quoting.
